Venture capitalist, Roger McNamee notices a precipitous decline in Google's search business as a result of the iPhone and other mobile devices, which use apps to access the internet instead of the world wide web. "Because search is falling, I believe that we're being liberated," says McNamee.

McNamee believe that Google is strategically in a very difficult situation. They have been too successful and the result of their success has been a pollution of their product. Over the last four years, products like Wikipedia, Facebook Yelp, Twitter, Linked-in and so on have all emerged to address search problems that were handled poorly by Google. You add all those things up today, and they're now more than half of all searches, he argues.

"So when I say Google's done, I'm not predicting something. I mean it's already done," contends McNamee.
