Loren Landau

Professor Loren B. Landau is Director of the Migration Studies Programme at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. A political scientist by training, his research explores migration, sovereignty, and belonging in South and Eastern Africa. He is the author of 'The Humanitarian Hangover: Displacement, Aid, and Transformation in Western Tanzania'.

He has also published widely in academic and policy-oriented journals and reports. He is currently the executive committee chair for the Consortium of Refugees and Migrants in South Africa (CoRMSA).
