Capitalism: A Love Story is critically acclaimed and award winning documentary filmmaker Michael Moore's upcoming film about the global financial crisis of 2007-2009, the transition from the Bush to the Obama administration as well as the obscene Wall Street bailout package.
Moore takes on the entire free-market system in his exquisitely titled movie, as he returns to the issue that began his career: the disastrous impact that corporate dominance and out-of-control profit motives have on the lives of Americans and people all around the world.
About the movie Moore says, "It will be the perfect date movie. It's got it all -- lust, passion, romance and 14,000 jobs being eliminated every day. It's a forbidden love, one that dare not speak its name. Heck, let's just say it: It's capitalism."
"It's a crime story," he also said of the movie in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. "But it's also a war story about class warfare. And a vampire movie, with the upper one percent feeding off the rest of us. And, of course, it's also a love story. Only it's about an abusive relationship."
Symbolically, Moore's film will be released in America on 02 October 2009, exactly a year and a day after the US Senate voted to approve the $700 billion bailout of Wall Street.
While dates for its international release have not yet been announced, the film will be distributed internationally by Paramount Vantage.
